About Molly
As a therapist, you will find my style to be warm and curious, with a large dose of humor. I am less interested in diagnosis and pathology than I am in the healing power of attunement and connection. Typically, I find that people have good reason to be stuck in their particular patterns. That doesn’t mean our current way is the best way forward. Expect my style to be firm and warm as we work together to guide change.
For some, therapy is an experience that spans years. For others, it’s episodic. Either way, therapy can provide a much needed space for reflection and recalibration. Wherever it is that you are, that’s where we’ll start. I work from an attachment based, psychodynamic and relational perspective. This means I believe in exploring early experiences, focusing on interpersonal relationships and highlighting the impact of societal influences. You are the expert of your own life. It is my job to integrate the best theory and science to help guide our work together.
I have a Masters Degree in Social Work from Boston College. Since graduation, I have worked in many settings including university counseling, outpatient community mental health as well as private group practice. I currently facilitate group supervision for a local clinical fellowship. In addition, I completed a postgraduate clinical fellowship primarily focused on couples. I have further training in Emotion Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Solution- Focused Therapy.
Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, I worked in the nonprofit sector as a fundraiser and community organizer. Since making the switch to social work, I have loved my career and as such, I continue to prioritize ongoing learning and training.
